On Tuesday evenings (following the school-year calendar,) from 4:15-6:15PM at the Bet Alef living room, Bet Alef instructor Aliza will offer a comprehensive learning program for children grades 3-6. Participation in this program is highly encouraged for children planning to have a Bar/Bat Mitzvah at Bet Alef.
The first half of each session will be dedicated to learning Hebrew (Beginners & then Level 1). The second half will focus on Jewish spiritual practices and values (Mitzvot). Students will progress to higher Hebrew levels over the 2 years of the program and before continuing with the B’nai Mitzvah course, grades 7-9.
Classes will begin Tuesday, October 15th, 4:15 PM.
Cost:
$1250 per student, per year, for members.
$1500 per student, per year, for non-members.

Aliza Winship-Freyer
Lead Youth Program Teacher
Aliza is passionate about Jewish education and feels truly blessed for the opportunity to teach at Bet Alef. A love of Torah and mitzvot blossomed early in her life. She began her formal education at the Ahavath Achim Religious School in Atlanta, GA and was a Hebrew tutor as a teenager. She went on to study language and history at the University of Washington and has been a member of Bet Alef for many years. She comes from a blended family of diverse backgrounds and is grateful for the inclusive and loving environment of our synagogue; a place where everyone is welcome and Jewish Spirituality is celebrated. She brings a love of learning, music, games, and crafts to every class. When not teaching she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, practicing aikido, and singing with the Seattle Jewish Chorale.
